We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired word of God and the basis for our beliefs; it is without error and the absolute foundational authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living. (II Timothy 3:16)
We believe in one God, who is the author of all creation, the arbiter of truth, and the supreme ruler of everything that exists in time, space, and eternity. (Genesis 1, Deuteronomy 6:4)
We believe that God manifested himself in flesh in the person of Jesus Christ. Therefore, Jesus Christ was and is fully God and fully man. In Jesus dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily—he is the embodiment of the character, attributes, authority, and disposition of the Godhead. He is also the testator by whom the New Testament is enacted, providing salvation for all who believe and follow his commands. (Colossians 2:9)
We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, and that he died on the cross for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead and became our High Priest and Advocate, so that he could make intercession for us. (John 1:1, 2, 14; Luke 1:35; Romans 3:24, 25; Ephesians 1:17, Hebrews 7:25, 26; Titus 2:13; I Thessalonians 4:13-18)
We believe that mankind was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is, therefore, lost. Salvation and spiritual regeneration can be experienced only through fulfilling the New Testament covenant: repentance of sin, baptism in water in the name of Jesus by immersion, the infilling of the Holy Ghost with speaking in tongues as evidence, and obedience to God’s word and will. Yet, salvation and spiritual regeneration are only obtained by the grace of Jesus Christ. He is the propitiation for our sins and is therefore the Savior of all humanity. Salvation is the free gift of God, enabled by the sacrifice He made for us on the cross. (Genesis 1:26, Romans 3:22-23; 5:12, John 3:1-5, Acts 2:38, Ephesians 2:1-3, 12)
We believe in a regenerated church membership: persons old enough to understand their need for Jesus Christ have, of their own free will, embraced New Testament salvation in obedience to His call. The Church is a company of believers baptized by the Holy Ghost into the Body of Christ, and its mission is to witness concerning its head, Jesus Christ. (II Corinthians 5:14-21)
We believe that God is sovereign in the bestowment of all His gifts, and has provided, among others, the gifts of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher for the perfecting of the saints today. We believe that God does heal and answers the prayer of faith in accordance with His own will. (I Corinthians 12:4-11, Ephesians 4:11-13)
